HEARTcare Plan
Teachers give so much of themselves to support our students and promote positive classroom culture. It is therefor essential that we have a wholistic self-care plan to support our physical, mental and emotional health to prevent burnout and serve as a model for our students. The core components of my HEARTcare plan can be found below.

Family
Time spent with my family, whether exploring our world or just staying cozy at home.

Fiction
Reading books of all genres, but historical fiction and escaping into high fantasy are always favourites.

Fibre Arts
Knitting, spinning, sewing, stitching. Experimenting with fibre is my passion.

Fitness
Nothing releases stress quite like a good sweat or a long run. Mental and physical health are deeply intertwined.

Food
Cooking and baking, especially with home grown ingredients and family recipes.

Fresh Air
Deep breaths, wide open skies, and lakes that stretch past the horizon. Time spent in nature grounds me.
